Manistee Transportation - CADS (Computer Aided Dispatching and Scheduling) Software Solution

Manistee County Transportation, Inc. (herein after referred to as the “MCTI”) seeks a solution to reduce call and text messaging volumes, assist dispatchers in efficiently routing and scheduling calls, enable to self-serve, and provide vehicle location services as our communities expect. Although our dispatchers are skilled and knowledgeable, the complexity of their tasks increases with rising customer demand. Also done manually is our driver pre/post checks, maintenance service dates, and other maintenance information.

The MCTI provides curb-to-curb demand-response public transportation services, one fixed/flex route that is run on the hour, contracted transportation, and to be added soon, non-emergency medical transportation services to the businesses and residents of Manistee City and all of Manistee County, Michigan. The MCTI also offers regional transportation for residents traveling to and from Traverse City , Michigan. MCTI provides between 400 and 800 rides a day, 133,000 rides annually. MCTI services students, adults, seniors, and those with disabilities with twenty seven (27) lift-equipped vehicles. Around forty percent (45%) of these rides are scheduled, or pre-booked calls, with the remaining sixty percent (55%) of calls being booked the same day.
